What Is Business Coaching?
Who is Coaching For?
In his TED talk on teachers need feedback, Bill Gates mentioned that everyone needs a coach since everyone needs feedback to improve. This is true for job seekers and business leaders alike. There is no way we can’t possibly know everything, and often, because we are used to doing things a certain way, don’t get the feedback that would help us to grow our ideas into new and greater directions. A coach, whether it’s a career, life or business coach will help you write your own story.
Develop more effective Strategies
Using their accumulated experience in their professional careers working with a multitude of clients, Coaches help you develop better strategies.
Make better Decisions
Tunnel vision happens to all and the best of us. When we have done something for a time and it worked, we tend to believe that it’s the best way of doing things. Coaches help us develop a new perspective and help us to look at challenges from a birds-eye perspective.
We are bombarded with a myriad of challenges daily. This can lead to losing focus. Coaches help us to zoom in on what really matters and what we should trim our lazer-sights on.
Strengthen work Culture
Whether individually or organizational, we developed a specific culture for us. This work culture might not support our goals, however. Coming with an outside perspective, a coach will help you redefine what that culture should look like.
Coaching to Strengths and Weaknesses
Drilling in deep, coaches reveal which strengths and weaknesses are present and target specific interventions that help grow the strengths, put them to good use and overcome the weaknesses.
